Fertility Surgery
Am I a Candidate for Fertility Surgery?
For some couples and individuals that we see at the Fertility Institute, surgery can improve fertility and help increase the chances of pregnancy. Fertility surgery is used to both diagnose and treat certain structural issues that may be interfering with your ability to conceive.
Good candidates for Fertility Surgery include:
- Patients who are experiencing unexplained causes of infertility
- Patients in need of additional imaging of the reproductive organs for diagnostic purposes
- Patients with suspected or known small intrauterine pathologies, like scar tissue, placental or fetal tissue in the uterus after pregnancy loss or delivery, or small polyps
- Patients with known conditions in the reproductive organs, including endometriosis, ovarian cysts, or uterine fibroids.
How Can I Schedule Fertility Surgery?
To start your fertility journey with us and learn if you are a good candidate for surgery, you’ll need to schedule a new patient consultation. During this appointment, we’ll review your medical and fertility history, as well as your goals for treatment. We can then recommend fertility testing to uncover any potential causes of infertility.
Request Appointment
Our specialists may request surgery if we are unable to diagnose any causes of infertility from bloodwork, semen analysis, diagnostic ultrasounds, or ultrasound monitoring. We will review the process of scheduling your procedure and what to expect during recovery. Fertility surgeries are minimally invasive, meaning our patients will experience less overall risk during and after the procedure as well as shorter recovery times.
