How Can I Verify My Insurance Coverage?
In the state of Louisiana, insurance companies are not legally required to cover assisted reproductive treatments, including IVF. Most insurance plans cover no infertility services, a few may pay for all of it, and others are somewhere in between. However, insurance is mandated to cover fertility preservation in the event of cancer. If we accept your insurance and you believe you may have coverage, we recommend checking with your carrier first to confirm your specific fertility coverage.
Your insurance may be able to assist you with the cost of fertility treatments and medications, too. It’s important to get in touch with your carrier directly to confirm what coverage you have available.

Meet With Our Financial Counselor
After calling your insurance company, you can also make an appointment with our financial counselor here at The Fertility Institute. During that appointment, we’ll verify your insurance and help build a financial plan for your fertility treatment. If you’re using insurance, you will still need to determine the right financing plan for any remaining or out-of-pocket costs not covered by your insurance.
