Dr. Steven N. Taylor is a fertility specialist who has been practicing medicine for 42 years. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and specializes in Reproductive Endocrinology and Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Taylor graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine where he specialized in gynecology. In 1979, he developed the fertility program at Tulane University after completing his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Taylor has accomplished many firsts in the field of field of reproductive medicine. In 1978, while teaching at the Tulane University Medical School, he was the first to develop an infertility microsurgery program. While at the Fertility Institute, Dr. Taylor was one of the first surgeons to perform laser surgery in the South.
An expert in infertility, Dr. Taylor has published articles in peer-reviewed medical journals such as the in the Fertility and Sterility journal, the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Human Reproductive Journal.
With a passion for helping families combined with his love for medicine, Dr. Taylor has devoted his medical expertise to furthering advances in reproductive health. His special interests are in in vitro fertilization and ovulation induction.
In 2012, Dr. Taylor was chosen by New Orleans Magazine as one of the New Orleans’ Best Doctors and in 2013, he was one of Castle Connolly America’s Top Doctors, a distinction earned by physicians highly recommended by their peers and other healthcare professionals.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a current member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society of Reproductive Surgeons, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the Pacific Coast Fertility Society.
